Auditing and consulting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) today said it wants to double the number of professionals in the next three to four years and the technology centre in India could be turned as global outsourcing hub for the group.
"We have some 5,000 professionals and we are aiming to double this number in the next three to four years," PwC India Chairman N Ramesh Rajan said.
PwC is also open for acquisitions for inorganic growth to maintain a sharp progress rate.
Rajan said the consulting major could continue to focus on wide range of areas and sectors. Currently, advisory contributes to about 40 per cent of the revenue while, tax and audit contribute 30 per cent and rest comes from other services.
PwC has three 'Centre of Excellence' on technology, e-governance and government practises.
"We are looking at more 'Centre of Excellences' in future and transportation sector could be one of the few we are planning," Rajan said.
The technology centre is located in Kolkata and the company is expanding its capacity and capability.
"The technology centre in Kolkata can become the global hub for outsourcing for PwC of other countries in the next few years. Initial feedback is positive," Rajan added.
