For the whole year (2007-08), the company's profit is up 103.94 per cent at Rs 206.56 crore as against Rs 101.28 crore in the pervious year. Total Income of the company saw an increased of 25.72 per cent at Rs 8,667.01 crore as against Rs 6,893.36 crore registered last fiscal.
The board of directors of the company have recommended a dividend of 35 per cent. The order book position of the company is Rs 1,685 crore. The R&D division has developed new designs for retailing and the total design portfolio at present comprises of 30,000 designs.
Commenting on the company's performance Rajesh Mehta, chairman of Rajesh Exports, said "The increase in profits is primarily due to the focus on its growth engines like white or private labelled exports, introduction of diamond jewellery and retailing which has resulted in better value additions for the products."
