Apparel and accessories speciality store of Reliance Retail, Reliance Trends, today said it would increase the number of stores across the country to 150 by March 2012.
At present, the company has 35 stores.
"The company, which has 35 stores at present in the country, will have 58 stores by the end of the current fiscal year," Ananthanarayanan, Head, Supply Chain, Reliance Retail, told PTI after opening its 36th store here and the second in Tamil Nadu.
The company, with a Rs 14 crore turnover from 21 stores in the previous year, expected a turnover of Rs 350 crore during the fiscal, he said, adding that each store has an investment of Rs six crore to Rs eight crore, including stocks.
The stores sell apparels at very affordable prices, such as Rs 199 for a shirt, Rs 299 for a pair of jeans and Rs 79 for kids wear, he said.
On sourcing the apparels, Ananthanarayanan said the company has 100 vendors across the country, including Chennai and Tirupur in Tamil Nadu.
Asked whether there are plans to increase the number of vendors, he said the manufacturing capacity of each vendor would be increased to meet the demands.
