A company statement here claimed that 120 buses that will be connecting Mumbai-Pune, Mumbai-Surat, Mumbai-Ahmedabad, Mumbai-Bangalore and Surat-Ahmedabad routes. The buses have been designed to provide services similar to in-flight experience to travellers.
The bus will house a rest-room, conference room equipped with Wi-Fi connection and projectors. Plus, there would be an in-house crew that would serve food and beverages. Similar to a flight experience, while booking online passengers can put in their requests for breakfast, lunch and dinner and pick up and drop from their chosen spots.
R C Baid, founder & chief mentor, SVLL informed that roughly each bus would cost around Rs 2.9 crore after entire interior designing. SVLL would purchase the buses from Scania and plans to get it designed by Dilip Chhabria of automotive design firm DC Design. He further added that while the fares were not finalised, the company is planning to peg them around fares close to AC First Class train fares between these destinations.
These 31-recliner seater buses will initially run through various locations in India routed with stopovers at exclusive SVLL bus-stops.
