Smart Track Solar Systems Private Limited, a Hyderabad-based start up providing tracking systems for solar photo voltaic panels, on Wednesday said it had made Rs 2 crore in revenues in the first year this year by implementing 2 Mw solar power projects.
A good solar tracker could lead to an increase in electricity generation capacity by 25-40 per cent at less than 10 per cent in additional cost. With enhanced generation, the additional cost incurred on trackers would be recovered in less than two years, said Raghuram Kondubhatla, its CEO. The company has executed a couple of projects in Anantapur district in Andhra Pradesh and is in talks with solar power developers with a proposed capacity of 20 Mw for offering tracking systems, which keep the solar panels directly facing the sun.
