Tata Steel's production up by 14% in FY13
Sales, too, went up by 13% at 7.4 million tonne as against 6.6 million tonne in FY12.
Shubhashish Mumbai Tata Steel has registered a 14% growth in its crude steel production for the year ended March 31, 2013.
The company said that production of crude steel and saleable steel went up by 14% in FY13. The company produced 8.8 million tonne of crude steel in the given year and saleable steel production stood at 7.9 million tonne as against 6.9 million tonne in the previous year.
Sales, too, went up by 13% at 7.4 million tonne as against 6.6 million tonne in FY12.
Sales of flat steel went up by 20%, at 4.49 million tonne.
“The Long Products division achieved its highest ever sales of 2.99 million tonnes,” it said.
