The Foundation for MSME Clusters (FMC), a not-for-profit organisation involved in cluster-based industrial development for micro, small and medium enterprises, is organising a technology transfer show in the city on March 17. The event, part of FMC’s promoting innovative cluster (PIC) project, is being held in association with SkyQuest Consulting Private Limited.

Funded by the department of science and technology, it would showcase 60 IP (intellectual property) protected cutting-edge technologies to be used in pharmaceutical and medical industries.

Andhra Pradesh and Gujarat together contribute 80-90 per cent to the country’s pharmaceutical output. “Such a show is being organised for the first time in Andhra Pradesh and the main focus would be on supporting young entrepreneurs and SMEs in the pharma segment,” Sourabh Gargav, cluster development coordinator (AP), FMC said.

The show, mainly a buyer-seller meet between people who are seeking technology and those owning it, would see participants from across industries, venture capitalists, scientists, researchers, entrepreneurs and inventors.

It would act as a platform for resource management, strategic planning and networking for both entrepreneurs and innovators. Later, it would be organised at Vishakhapatnam, Vadodara and Ahmadabad.
