Liquor maker Tilaknagar Industries today said it had acquired Punjab Expo Breveries for an undisclosed sum.
"The company has acquired 100% stake in Punjab Expo Breveries, a bottling unit situated at Derabassi, Punjab on October 1, 2011," Tilaknagar Industries said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
Tilaknagar Industries manufactures Indian Made Foreign Liquor. Its products includes Mansion House whisky, Senate Royale whisky and Royal Choice whisky.
As of March 31, 2010, it had more than 40 brands across a range of product segments.
The company markets its products across a large number of southern states in India. It also exports its products to western Africa, the West Asia and Caribbean countries.
Shares of Tilaknagar Industries today closed at Rs 29.15 on the BSE, up 1.22% from its previous close.
