Tata group firm Trent today reported an over two-fold jump in its standalone net profit for the quarter ended September 30 at Rs 9 crore.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 3.40 crore in the same period last year, Trent said in a filing to the BSE.
The net income during the second quarter also went up 6.91% to Rs 230.27 crore from Rs 215.39 crore in the year-ago period, it added.
The shares of the company today closed 1.37% up at Rs 1,155 apiece on the BSE.
