Tulip Telecom bags FCC clearance

Tulip Telecom Inc, the wholly owned US based subsidiary of Tulip Telecom Ltd, India’s leading enterprise data connectivity service provider, announced today that it has been granted the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) 214 clearance, which enables it to sell data connectivity services in the US.

Having received this clearance, Tulip Telecom now has the authority to provide resale services in accordance with the Commission’s rules in order to serve US based customers that may have connectivity requirements into India and other parts of the world.

Earlier this year, Tulip had initiated the process of setting up new POPs in the east and west coast of America. These POPs will be supported by fiber connectivity that will enable the company to offer enterprise connectivity services to its potential international customers primarily from the IT/ITeS, BFSI and services segments.

Tulip will offer international connectivity solutions including Global MPLS service, IPLC (international private leased circuit) and international ethernet private line. The company has alliances with service providers across the globe to provide end-to-end connectivity solutions to the customers.
