TVS Motor Jan-March net up 39% Rs 20 cr

TVS Motors recorded 38.78 per cent jump in net profit to Rs 20.3 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2010, as against Rs 14.6 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.

The company’s total income went up by 33.72 per cent to Rs 1,215.99 crore during the fourth quarter of the last financial year as against Rs 909.33 crore in the fourth quarter of 2008-09.

Net sales of the company rose to Rs 1,192.4 crore during the fourth quarter of last financial year as compared to Rs 912 crore in January-March 2009.

At Bombay Stock Exchange, shares of the company were trading at Rs 87.70 at 3:30 pm up 1.62 per cent from its previous close.
