According to managing director and chief executive officer Amitava Datta, the company will increase its headcount, including sales and marketing personnel, from the existing 100 to 200 besides foraying into Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, the National Capital Region and other states.
ubq, which started its operations in 2006 with a $2-million venture capital funding from Agnus Holdings, is also looking towards expanding its operations to the UAE this year. At present, it has four customers in West Asia, two each in Oman and Qatar.
The company is also in an advanced stage of discussions for entering into a tie-up with system integrators for execution and maintenance of its information system in large hospital. "Hospitals can now completely outsource their information technology requirement and have their data managed in a better way," Datta told Business Standard.
ubq delivers 'Medics', a cloud computing software, which is designed to manage single and a chain of clinics or hospitals. Its existing customers include Nova Medical Centres, Dr Agarwal's Eye Hospitals, Sankara Eye Hospitals and St Martha's Hospital in Bangalore.
"Today, we have 140 hospitals using ubq solution. We are planning to add 150 more customers this year. Our solution is suitable to both small and large hospitals - right from 10 bedded to over 500 bedded," Datta said.
Stating that ubq has been registering a growth rate of over 100 per cent in the past five years in terms revenues, he said the company's top line this year was likely to be around Rs 16 crore as against Rs 6 crore last year.
