WeCare Learning, a Bengaluru-based chain of early childcare and learning centres, on Friday opened a daycare-cum-preschool centre close to the Microsoft campus in Hyderabad.

The centre, slated to commence operations in Apr, is open for Microsoft employees in Hyderabad. The 10,000-sft centre will accommodate 126 children in the age group of six weeks to eight years. “The trend of daycare-cum-pre-school centres is being driven by factors, including an increasing awareness among employers that there is direct connect between a good work life balance and productivity,” Reshma Srinivas, founder and MD.

The seven-year-old company currently operates eight centres in Bengaluru. It is exploring opportunities to expand its operations to more cities in due course.

"Women are going back to work in greater numbers after having children and that has prompted a need for childcare centres. We plan to one more centre in Hyderabad and move to Chennai next year," she said.
