Zee Entertainment has posted a decrease of 38 per cent in its net profit at Rs 111 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2009 against Rs 178 crore for the corresponding previous quarter.
Total income of the company decreased to Rs 569.6 crore during the quarter against Rs 599.6 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2008.
During the quarter under review, revenues for the company fell 5.5 per cent to Rs 540 crore against Rs 571.7 crore in the corresponding previous quarter. Advertising revenues were down 13 per cent at Rs 248 crore while subscription revenues went up 8 per cent at Rs 243.5 crore.
The company's scrip was down 5.88 per cent at Rs 225 on the Bombay Stock Exchange.
