Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan will meet the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Governor designate Raghuram Rajan on September 6 after he takes charge of the office.
"I will discuss issues relating to rupee volatility with new Governor." Chavan announced his proposed meeting with Rajan during his interactive meeting with Ficci national executive committee members here today.
Chavan said India is passing through difficult and challenging times. "However, we need to turn the corner."
The meeting is crucial especially when slow down was beginning to hurt and the investment climate was not encouraging either.
