Former Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) director A P Singh, while reacting on Enforcement Directorate (ED) planning to register a case against him under Prevention of Money Laundering ACT (PMLA) on Sunday said he feels he is being targeted.

"It appears I am being targeted but I am not sure of the reasons why!" Singh said.

Strongly denying the allegations levelled against him, Singh said he is ready to cooperate with any such investigation.

"I welcome any CBI and ED investigation and sincerely hope that they will be fair and impartial," he added.

Sources said the Enforcement Directorate is likely to file a PMLA case against meat exporter Moin Qureshi and Singh.

Earlier on February 20, the CBI, on the complaint of the ED registered a case against Singh and Qureshi along with others.

According to sources, it has been alleged that Qureshi was taking favour from public servants and money from various unknown sources.

The investigating agency also conducted raids in Delhi, Ghaziabad, Hyderabad and Chennai in connection with Qureshi's money laundering case.
