Industry bodies pay lip service to women's empowerment: Maneka

Minister for Women and Child Development Maneka Gandhi on Wednesday blamed various business bodies for paying lip service to women's empowerment. Speaking at a conference organised by the Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India on women at the workplace, she said it was extremely disheartening to see that such regular events have had no effect on the ground, serving instead only as "networking lunches".
