The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Tuesday filed a supplementary charge sheet against 16 suspected members of the Islamic State (IS) in a Delhi court.
According to court sources, during the in-camera proceedings, the supplementary charge sheet accusing the suspects of joining the banned terror outfit was filed before District Judge Amar Nath, who fixed the matter for Wednesday for further hearing.
The first charge sheet was filed on June 3 against suspected Islamic State supporter Mohammed Naser, who is accused of motivating people to join the terror outfit and waging war in certain Middle East countries and India.
According to the sources, two arrested accused have turned approver in the case.
The 16 charge sheeted accused, who are in judicial custody, have been booked under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967.
