Ministry of Railways on Wednesday constituted a high-level committee to probe 18-month delay in the tender of a new foot overbridge at Elphinstone Road station.
Anil Saxena, director general (PR), Indian Railways informed that the committee will be headed by former Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) officer Pratyush Sinha and will submit its report on the same within three months.
The committee has to submit its reports within three months.
23 people were killed and over 39 were injured in a rush-hour stampede at Mumbai's Elphinstone railway station's foot over the bridge on September 29.
