Role of private security firms to be scrutinised

The role of private security firms is set to be scrutinised by the Supreme Court. The court on Wednesday issued a notice to the home ministry to respond to four of its questions on the matter. The court’s move was despite the absence of any petition on the issue; recent incidents of shoot-outs in Delhi prompted the step.
