Maharashtra chief minister Vilasrao Deshmukh stated on Tuesday that of the nine textile mills run by the Maharashtra State Textile Corporation (MSTC), only those having good potential of becoming self-reliant would be allowed to continue operations.
Addressing a meeting at the Mantralaya on the future course of action on the sick and closed textile mills, Deshmukh said the state government was under constraint to foot out the wage bills of these loss-making mills
