The Energy Conclave-2003, conducted by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), stressed on the need to focus on alternative energy sources, mainly wind energy, to solve the power crisis and rising energy cost in India.
The conclave was organised in Ahmedabad keeping in mind the problems entrepreneurs in Gujarat face in terms of quality and cost of power.
While Gujarat is not rich in terms of traditional power resources, it has got adequate sources of renewable energy such as wind and sunlight, the conclave noted.
