The Central Administrative Tribunal on Wednesday issued notices to the Karnataka government and others on a petition of IPS officer A R Infant, challenging the appointment of Shankar Bidari as the state police chief “overlooking” the former’s seniority. Issuing the notices, a tribunal bench directed the state to file replies.
