Congress Rules Out Withdrawal Of Support

The AICC spokesperson told reporters that there is no question of withdrawing support to the u f government. He claimed that the Congress was the only truly national party and that the success of regional parties was a temporary phenomenon.

The spokesperson again clarified that the Congress Party in Parliament executive had not passed any resolution reversing the partys liberalising economic policies. In fact, we made it clear that we continued the liberalisation programme and the new economic policies and we expected the previous government to continue them, he held.
