Cypress To Set Up Chip Design Centre In Hyd

Cypress Semiconductor Corporation, a $775 million US-based company, is setting up a chip design centre in the city to design complex integrated chips. The centre is expected to be operational by end of June.
Ranked at 22 among the US semiconductor companies, the US company plans to invest about $15 million in the next two years on the Hyderabad centre.
It plans to have a team size of over 200 in the next two years. This is the second centre for the company in India, after the first one was set up at Bangalore in 1995, which currently employs 130 people.
