DBT in Mysore from June

DC says the bank account number and seeding of Aadhar to be handed over to the gas agencies should be the same

The much-publicised Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) for LPG cylinders will be launched from June 1 in Mysore district. On the instructions from the Union Petroleum and Gas Ministry, DBT cash transfer to the bank accounts of Aadhar card holders will be introduced in the district from June 1, said Deputy Commissioner C Shikha.

She has asked all the LPG consumers to furnish details of their bank accounts and Aadhar card to the concerned LPG supplying agencies. Those who have not submitted Aadhar card details to their banks should do so immediately and those without bank accounts should open accounts and submit Aadhar card details to the bank. The bank account number and seeding of Aadhar to be handed over to the gas agencies should be the same, the DC said. Drop boxes have been provided at all the gas agencies for the convenience of LPG customer she said.

Adding they can drop in these boxes copies of bank pass book where IFSC code, bank account number and name should be clearly visible, Aadhar copy and details of LPG consumer number.

Mapping of details furnished by those LPG consumers who had already submitted their LPG consumer details, Aadhar and bank number had been done and the same is updated by the Oil Companies. Such consumers can verify the same in the transparency portals, www.indane.co.in, www.hindustanpetroleum.com, www.ebharatgas.com or from the concerned gas agencies. There is no need to submit the details again after verifying the same from the websites.
