Dy Speaker issues showcause notices to TDP MLAs

Andhra Pradesh deputy Speaker N Manohar on Tuesday issued showcause notices to two Telugu Desam Party (TDP) MLAs based on a complaint filed by the party. In its petition, TDP sought disqualification of Bala Nagi Reddy and Pocharam Srinivas Reddy as members of the legislative Assembly for indulging in anti-party activities. The deputy speaker gave one week time to the members to respond. He also sent a counter given by the TDP to N Prasanna Kumar Reddy, also a TDP member, on his clarification to a similar showcause notice given earlier. The TDP is demanding disqualification of its three MLAs for indulging in anti-party activities.
