Govt picks Rothschild for 3G auction

The ministry of IT and communications has picked NM Rothschild & Sons Ltd as the independent auctioneer to help it auction 3G spectrum licences, Communications Minister A Raja said on Tuesday.

The auction of licences for the 3G mobile-phone radio spectrum will start in “two to three days” and is expected to be completed by January 15, Telecom Secretary Siddhartha Behura said.
