The government is unlikely to review the security of former Telecom Minister A Raja and Janata Party President Subramanian Swamy as both of them enjoy "adequate" protection.

Raja has been enjoying 'Y' category security, which has been continuing even after his resignation as a central minister, while Swamy enjoys 'Z' category security and there was no immediate plan to review their security, government sources said.

"Both Raja and Swamy has been given adequate security," an official said.

Swamy, in a letter last week, had requested to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to put Raja under a high-level security as some people were trying to silence him "forever" since he was a key to much "embarrassing" information for "some of those in power" today.

In separate letters to the Centre, Swamy has been demanding enhanced security for himself as he has been allegedly receiving threat from LTTE.

Under the 'Y' category security, a person is entitled to security by one Personal Security Officer with automatic weapon, one PSO with a revolver and a protection of his residence by a guard round-the-clock.

Under the 'Z' category security, a person is entitled to protection by 32 guards, including a police escort vehicle with armed guards and security guards at home round-the-clock.
