Suspended Indian Premier League chief Lalit Modi came out against the Board of Control for Cricket in India’s (BCCI) Disciplinary Committee inquiring against his alleged financial irregularities in the event. “Just heard that BCCI want my lawyers to recuse themselves! Shocked, since meeting was for committee’s recusal,” Modi wrote on micro-blogging site Twitter on Sunday, after his lawyers had a meeting with the three-member panel in New Delhi on Sunday.

Modi’s lawyers have sought the recusal of Chirayu Amin and Arun Jaitley from the panel. Union minister Jyotiraditya Scindia is the third member. Modi has been seeking the recusal of Amin and Jaitley, saying they were party to the decisions taken against him by BCCI. “People party to all decisions don’t want to recuse themselves but want my team who are presenting my case to. Is this how an enquiry is done?” he tweeted.
