India's natural rubber production rose by 7.2% to 62,700 tonne in July, 2011, vis-a-vis the year-ago period, while consumption increased by 7.61% to 82,000 tonne.
In July 2010, production and consumption of natural rubber in the country stood at 58,500 tonnes and 76,200 tonnes, respectively.
Natural rubber imports increased to 20,127 tonne last month from 17,975 tonne in the same month last year. Exports also grew to 779 tonne from 24 tonne in the review period.
