Orissa has received a Central assistance of Rs 874.69 crore from the Government of India till 28 March this year as per the recommendation of the Thirteenth Finance Commission (TFC).
"The TFC had recommended a Central assistance of Rs 902.13 crore for Orissa for 2010-11 and the state has received Rs 874.69 crore till 28 March this year", minister for planning & coordination said in a written reply in the state assembly.
Besides, the state government has received a Special Central assistance of Rs 258.69 crore for drought and Rs 301.48 crore for untimely rains, the minister informed.
The state has achieved an expenditure level of 66.62 per cent till January-end on the State Plan.
As against the Budget estimate of Rs 3834.86 crore for 2010-11, the state had received funds up to Rs 2791.6 crore from the Government of India and had incurred an expenditure of Rs 2555.03 crore under the 'State Plan' by the end of January.
Under the 'Central Plan', the state had recorded an expenditure of Rs 531.29 crore by February-end which is an achievement of only 48.56 per cent of the Budgetary Estimate of Rs 1093.94 crore.
Similarly, under the Centrally Sponsored Plan, of the total Budgetary estimate of Rs 1808.37 crore, the actual expenditure till the end of February was Rs 1175.17 crore, an achievement of 64.98 per cent.
Taking into account, the entire Plan expenditure of Rs 6737.17 crore estimated in the State Budget for 2010-11, the actual expenditure incurred was Rs 4261.49 crore, an achievement of 63.25 per cent.
