The Jagatsinghpur dsitrct administration will hold the Rehabilitation and Peripheral Development Advisory Committee (RPDAC) meeting on the Posco project on July 8.
The meeting, which will be attended by all stake holders of the project including the local people opposing the project and peoples’ representatives, will discuss the finalization of compensation package for the project affected persons in the presence of the government and Posco officials.
The RPDAC meeting follows the submission of the report on the socio-economic survey of the site area to the government. Sources said, out of eight villages, the survey was completed in seven villages of three panchyats, Dhinkia, Nuagaon and Gadkujang while it was incomplete in Dhinkia due to protest and non-cooperation of the villagers.
