The Uttar Pradesh Cabinet today decided to revive defunct cold storages by settling debt on those.

On December 21, 2011, the Cabinet, during the earlier Mayawati regime, decided to sell the cold storages for retiring the loan given by the National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC), New Delhi.

The Cabinet today overturned the decision and approved the proposal to clear dues of over Rs 47 crore.
