US has forged the most comprehensive engagement with India, which Washington ever had with any country, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has said.
Clinton, who visited India last week, said the Indo-US relationship has bipartisan support in the US and the Obama Administration is building on some of the good work done by the previous governments.
"We are building on some of the good work that has been done in a bipartisan way with India, starting with my husband (Bill Clinton) and, in fact, continuing with President (George W) Bush with India," Clinton told the NBC news in an interview. "We have now announced the most comprehensive engagement we have ever had with that country," Clinton said.
Responding to a question, she said her hand is about 80 per cent improved. "You know, there are certain moves that I can make, but there are others that are still kind of painful. But I'm doing my physical therapy," she said.
When asked if it is hard to handshake, she said it is. "I tried to do a handshaking when I was in India and Thailand, and my arm was really sore at the end. So I'm either putting out my left hand. I love the Thais, you know, I was going around like this to everybody. That helped me out a lot," she said.
