Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi on Monday said that his party does not believe in the politics of revenge

"I don't believe in the politics of revenge. We want badlaav (change), and not badla (revenge), said Modi, while addressing a BJP rally in Amethi, the political bastion of the Nehru-Gandhi family.

He also said that ongoing Lok Sabha elections are going to prove all calculations of political pundits wrong.

"This time no one can now save the government of 'Mother-Son' duo. Even if they get people out of jails and tie up with them, that also is not going to help," he added.

Describing BJP candidate and television actress Smriti Irani as his younger sister, Modi said the party sent Irani to Amethi to reduce the people's woes and problems, rather than increasing Rahul's troubles.

"Rahul is already very troubled. We have sent Smriti to Amethi to reduce the people's problems. I have chosen Smriti for Amethi. Now, it is your turn to put the stamp of approval," he added.

He also said that he intends to build India, but before all this, he wants to build Amethi.

Referring to the Congress Party's questioning the Gujarat Model of development, Modi asked have they ever tried to find out what Amethi is like?

Referring to Priyanka Gandhi, Modi said, "Just see Congress' arrogance. One of their leader asks 'who is Smriti Irani'? Politicians have no right to ask such questions. The courtesy of public life disappears with such an attitude.
