 "If Mamata has guts, allow CBI inquiry into Saradha scam: Congress")
Amid the war of words between Narendra Modi and Mamata Banerjee on Saradha scam, Congress today dared her to recommend a CBI probe into the case.
"If Banerjee has the guts and gumption, then she should allow CBI to probe the matter which had deceived lakh of poor people," West Bengal Congress President Adhir Chowdhury said.
The balance sheet and all financial transactions should be probed, he said, to find the funds trail and list of beneficiaries.
"There is a certain BJP wave which is blowing in the state, thanks to the secretive understanding it has entered with the Trinamool Congress," he said.
He said that it would also not be proper to write off the BJP in West Bengal as the party had wrested two parliamentary seats in the past.
But the BJP did not hold much prospect in the state because its roots inherited from the RSS were communal, he alleged.
About poll prospects of Congress in West Bengal, he said that his party would be able to win at least five seats in Murshidabad, Malda and Dinajpur.
Congress would also win a seat in North Bengal and several others in the rest of the state.

Accusing the Trinamool Congress of forming a tacit pre-poll alliance with BJP, Chowdhury said that had it been not the case, then the saffron party could not have created a flutter in West Bengal.
