City Union Bank net profit up 15% at Rs 128.87 cr

City Union Bank has posted a 15 per cent growth in net profit during the quarter ended March 31, 2017, at Rs 128.87 crore. The net profit for the same quarter of the previous year was Rs 112.23 crore.

The total income grew 7.2 per cent to Rs 925.75 crore during the quarter ended March 2017, as against Rs 863.51 crore registered during the same quarter of the previous financial year. 

The gross non-performing assets (NPAs) stood at Rs 681.98 crore, amounting to 2.83 per cent of gross advances, during the quarter as compared to Rs 511.98 crore, 2.41 per cent of gross advances, in the same quarter a year ago. Net NPA was at Rs 408.34 crore, amounting to 1.71 per cent of gross advances, during the period as against Rs 323.15 crore, 1.53 per cent of gross advances, a year ago.
