Private sector lender HDFC Bank on Thursday said it raised Rs 3,650 crore from bonds to fund business growth. The bank had issued unsecured, redeemable, subordinated bonds as debentures towards Tier-II capital on a private placement basis, HDFC Bank said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
For financial year 2010-11, the bank posted a net profit of Rs 3,926.30 crore, an increase of 33.10 per cent from the Rs 2,948.6-crore net profit in the previous year. Total income stood at Rs 24,263.4 crore, compared with Rs 20,155.83 crore in the previous financial year. The bank's total balance sheet size rose 24.7 per cent to Rs 2,77,353 crore as of March 31. Total gross advances stood at Rs 1,59,983 crore, while total deposits grew by 24.1 per cent to Rs 2,08,586 crore.
