Visit of MoS (Home) Shri Kiren Rijiju to Bhutan At the invitation of the Minister of Home & Cultural Affairs, Royal Government of Bhutan (RGoB), Mr. Lyonpo Dawa Gyeltshen, Minister of State (MOS) for Home Affairs, Shri Kiren Rijiju visited Bhutan from July 2-4, 2016 to attend the International Conference on Tradition and Innovation in Vajrayana Buddhism. During the visit, Shri Kiren Rijiju called on Mr. Lyonchhen Tshering Tobgay, Prime Minister of Bhutan, Mr. Lyonpo Dawa Gyeltshen, Minister of Home & Cultural Affairs and Mr. Lyonpo Damcho Dorji, Minister for Foreign Affairs, RGoB. He also met Lt. General Batoo Tshering, Chief Operations Officer, Royal Bhutan Army. Varied issues of bilateral and mutual importance were discussed during the meetings, in a warm and friendly atmosphere. On July 3, 2016, the MoS addressed the Closing Session of International Conference on Vajrayana Buddhism: A Mandala of 21st Century Perspectives" at the Royal Institute for Tourism & Hospitality (RITH), Thimphu.
