IIM-A's PGPX empanelled in Centre's ITEC scholarship prog

The Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA)’s Post-Graduate Programme in Management for Executives (PGPX) has been empanelled in the Government of India (GoI)’s Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation’ (ITEC) Scholarship Programme.

With this, international candidates from 141 ITEC partner countries would be eligible for full scholarship from the Department of Programme Administration (DPA), Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), Government of India for the PGPX.

The ITEC programme was initiated in 1964 and has generated immense goodwill and substantive cooperation among the developing countries.

As per the details mentioned on the ITEC website, international students who qualify and are admitted to the scholarship programmes/courses (as per the concerned institution’s admission process) would be eligible for a return air-fare, full programme fee, monthly subsistence allowance, a stationery allowance and allowance for traveling in India.

“However, the International Immersion Programme component of the PGPX is not sponsored for which the student may have to spend from own pocket or undertake any substitute credit at IIM-A,” the institute stated in an official communique.

For candidates applying for the PGPX at IIMA, the candidate will have to first apply for the ITEC Scholarship through the Indian Embassy/Mission Office in his/her country.

Simultaneously he/she will have to apply for the PGPX programme and get admitted by following IIMA’s admission process.

Applications for the 10th batch starting April 2015 is currently on, wherein application window will close at 6:00 pm Indian Standard Time (IST) on August 11, 2014, the institute informed.
