Apar Ind, Linc Pen, Nilkamal, Trent, Welspun Syntex hit 52-week high

SMS Pharma, Morepen Lab, Heritage Foods, MT Educare, TN Newsprint, TV Today Network and Kwality hit 52-week highs today.

Apar Industries, Linc Pen & Plastics, Nilkamal, Trent, Welspun Syntex and Future Consumer Enterprise are among the 23 stocks from the S&P BSE Smallcap index hit their respective 52-week highs on the BSE in intra-day today.

Nilkamal has rallied 13% to Rs 1,215, also its record high on the BSE. In past one-month the stock gained 23% as compared to 2.2% rise in smallcap index and 1% decline in the S&P BSE Sensex.

Apar Industries surged 8% to Rs 542 on the back of two-fold jump in trading volumes.  Earlier this month,  the company said that the recent launch of UDAY (Ujwal DISCOM Assurance Yojana) to ensure “24X7 Power To All” aims at permanent resolution of DISCOMs issues, which will have multiplier impact on transmission and distribution (T&D) investment; will increase demand for all company’s businesses i.e conductors, transformer oils & cables.

Linc Pen & Plastics too soared 8% to Rs 223, extending its 10% rally in past two trading sessions on the BSE. Post Q2 results, the stock rallied 39% from Rs 161 on November 11, after the company reported 23% year-on-year (YoY) growth in net profit on account of a favorable operating performance and lower interest costs.

Future Consumer Enterprise gained 8% to Rs 25.95, extending its 7% gain in past two days on the BSE. The trading volumes on the counter nearly doubles with a combined 10.73 million shares changed hands on the BSE and NSE.

With reference to increase in volume, the company said at present there were no such decisions taken by the board of directors, which in our opinion could have an impact on the performance/operations of the company.

SMS Pharmaceuticals, Morepen Laboratories, Heritage Foods, Tamilnadu Newsprint, TV Today Network, MT Educare, Kwality and Control Print are among others from smallcap hit 52-week highs today.
