Asian markets ended in the positive zone today.
The Hang Seng gained 440 points, or 2.14% tracking gains on the mainland and led by Chinese banks in the territory on hopes of continued support from the Chinese government.
The Nikkei added 72 points to end at 10,393 today, with Showa Shell Sekiyu rising on plans to build a new solar cell plant, but gains were limited as the yen's firmness weighed on some exporters.
The Sanghai Composite gained for the sixth day in a row. The index closed up 49 points amid continuous signs of government policy support for equity trading.
The Straits Times and the Seoul Composite advanced 14 points and 11 points to close at 2,658 and 1,619, respectively.
The Taiwan Weighted moved up 89 points to close at 7,314.

Asian markets have gained in mid noon trades. The Hang Seng has added 129 points to 20,758. The Nikkei has advanced 59 points to 10,380.
The Shanghai Composite has moved up 25 points to 2,906. the Taiwan Weighted has gained 89 points to 7,314.
The Straits Times abd Seoul Composite are flat at 2,638 and 1,618, respectively.

Asian markets are mostly flat this morning after posting smart gains yesterday.
The Nikkei is down four points at 10,317. The Hang Seng has gained 139 points at 20,769.
The Shanghai Composite index is unchanged at 2,881.
The Straits Times index has declined five points to 2,639, and the Seoul Composite index has added eight points to 1,616.
The Taiwan Weighted index has moved up 78 points to 7,302.
