Crude palm oil prices traded lower by Rs 1.40, or 0.34 per cent, to Rs 411.20 per 10 kg in futures trade today, as speculators reduced positions on subdued demand in the spot market.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange counter, crude palm oil for November lost Rs 1.40, or 0.34 per cent, to Rs 411.20 per 10 kg, with an open interest of 317 lots.

Similarly, the oil for delivery in October shed Rs 0.40, or 0.10 per cent, to Rs 415.90 per 10 kg, with an open interest of 1,791 lots, while the current-month September held steady at Rs 420.40 per 10 kg, with an open interest of 2,215 lots.

Traders said speculators reduced their positions after weakening trend at spot markets, and led to a fall in crude palm oil prices at futures trade.
