European markets open up ahead of ECB's rate decision

European markets opened up today following Asian and US markets helped largely by the banking sector. Investors are waiting for Bank of England and ECB's interest rate and policy decisions.
The FTSE has gained 1% (55 points) to 4,451.
The CAC and DAX have advanced 1% each to 3,316 and 4,925, respectivey.
