Gram, masoor trade higher on pick-up in retailers demand

Prices of gram and masoor rose by up to Rs 50 per quintal in the wholesale pulses market today on pick-up in retailers demand against less arrivals. Traders said pick-up in retailers demand against limited arrivals mainly pushed up gram and masoor prices.

In the national capital, gram rose by Rs 25 to Rs 2,900-2,925, while its dal local and best quality traded higher by Rs 50 each to Rs 3,350-3,450 and Rs 3,550-3,650 per quintal, respectively.

Both Besan Shaktibhog and Rajdhani were enquired higher by Rs 20 to Rs 1,400.

Masoor small and bold prices moved up by Rs 50 each to Rs 2,600-2,800 and Rs 2,750-3,000, respectively. Its dal local and best quality traded higher by the same margin to Rs 3,250-3,350 and Rs 3,450-3,750 per quintal, respectively.
