Gujarat Gas has moved up in early trades on a 42% jump in Q4 profit.
The stock touched a high of Rs 262 - up 3% from the previous close. It is now trading at Rs 260 - up 2.2%. The counter has clocked a volume of 16,000 shares on the BSE so far.
Gujarat Gas Company (GGCL) has registered a profit after tax of Rs 46.2 crore in the fourth quarter of the current financial year, up by 42 per cent from Rs 32.5 crore in the corresponding quarter previous fiscal on the back of an 18 per cent rise in net sales that stood at Rs 377.9 crore during the quarter compared to Rs 320.4 crore the year before.
The board has recommended a dividend for 2009 of Rs 3 per share & special one time dividend of Rs 5 per share.
