Gur falls on sluggish demand

Gur prices fell by up to Rs 150 per quintal in the national capital today on sluggish demand against adequate stocks position following fresh arrivals from producing region.
Market analysts said sluggish demand against adequate stocks following fresh arrivals from producing belt mainly led to fall in wholesale gur prices.
At Muzafarnagar, gur khurpa fell the most by losing Rs 150 to Rs 2,200-2,250 per quintal.
Gur pedi in Muradnagar, also lost Rs 50 to Rs 2,600-2,650 per quintal.
Following were today's quotations per quintal:
Chakku Rs 2,800-2,900, pedi Rs 2,950-3,000, Dhayya Rs 3,100-3,200, and Shakkar Rs 3,100-3,200
Muzaffarnagar: Raskat Rs 2,200-2,300, chakku Rs 2,375-2,625 and Khurpa Rs 2,200-2,250
Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 2,600-2,650 and Dhaya Rs NA
