Wednesday saw a majority of the Indian ADRs close in the red, after a fairly positive run on Tuesday.
HDFC Bank fared the lowest, and closed down 2.5% at $142.68. ICICI Bank, Tuesday's highest gainer, shed 1.6% at $43.79, while Tata Motors slipped 1.4% at $24.14.
Patni Computer Systems ended down 1.1% at $19.99, Infosys lost 1.7% to close at $68.02 and pharma major Dr Reddy's shed half a per cent at $35.46.
Satyam Computer Services was down 0.4% at $2.77, while Genpact ended flat, with a negative bias, at $15.28.
Amongst the gainers, MTNL, Tuesday's highest loser, turned around to lead the pack at $2.10 up 1%, followed by Tata Communications up 0.7% at $10.20, while WIpro at $13.30 and Sterlite Industries at $14.75 ended the day flat, albeit with a positive bias.
