ITC ADR up 8.75 per cent

 Among the global depository receipts (GDRs), four advanced and one lost ground.

 The major gainers were: ITC (up 8.75 per cent at $21.75) registering volumes of 9,600 receipts, Reliance (up 1.96 per cent at $22.94) with volumes of 35,775 receipts, and State Bank of India (up 1.34 per cent at $30.30), whose volumes stood at 113,300 receipts.

 The only loser was the GDR of Ranbaxy Laboratories, which was down by 0.22 per cent at $22.90. It posted volumes of 50,000 receipts.

 On Friday last week, five of eight American depositary receipts (ADRs) advanced. The majors gainers were: Wipro (up 8.40 per cent at $34.85), Satyam Computer (up 7.49 per cent at $16.08) and Infosys Technologies (up 7.33 per cent at $77.56).

 The losers were MTNL (down 2.02 per cent at $5.57), VSNL (down 1.54 per cent at $5.77) and ICICI Bank (down 1.21 per cent at $12.25).

 The ISDI gained 2.77 per cent at 845.45 on Friday compared with the previous day
